For more than 18 years, the Institute for Production Management (IPM) has been the academic partner for companies when it comes to preparing conferences and their content. Our partners are from the automotive, railway, aviation, production, logistics, chemical and pharmaceutical industry. VW LOGISTICS INNOVATION SCOUTING Companies pursue the strategy to continuously improve their existing processes and products. Since 2014, the Institute for Production Management has been supporting the 12 Volkswagen Logistics brands in identifying cross-industry innovations.

The IPM team provides study modules, workshops and seminars to the AutoUni, training employees of the Volkswagen Group. The contents of the qualification measures are always coordinated with the client. We educate our partners in subjects such as procurement, supply chain management, logistics, globalization and innovation management.
Headed by Prof. Dr. Johannes Walther, the Institute for Production Management and its partners annually publish the SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT Journal, featuring topics of the automotive, aviation and railway industry in its different issues. Other specialized publications of Prof. Walther and the IPM are published by Springer. The study " Supply Chain Integration Challenges in Commercial Aerospace", for example, was published in 2016.
