Industry Conferences

Publications

For more than 18 years, the Institute for Production Management (IPM) has been the academic partner for companies when it comes to preparing conferences and their content. Our partners are from the automotive, railway, aviation, production, logistics, chemical and pharmaceutical industry. In addition to our own conferences, we prepare and organize customer events, supplier meetings and similar events.

Companies pursuit continuous innovation employment for their products and processes. Studies show that the search for external innovators and solution providers is becoming increasingly important. According to this background, the Institute for Production Management has been supporting the Volkswagen Group's Logistics in identifying external innovations, since 2014. The next call for tenders will take place in 2018.

FURTHER EDUCATION

The IPM team provides study modules, workshops and seminars to the AutoUni, training employees of the Volkswagen Group. The contents of the qualification measures are always coordinated with the client. We educate our partners in subjects such as procurement, supply chain management, logistics, globalization and innovation management.

Headed by Prof. Dr. Johannes Walther, the Institute for Production Management and its partners annually publish the SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGEMENT Journal, featuring topics of the automotive, aviation and railway industry in its different issues. Other specialized publications of Prof. Walther and the IPM are published by Springer. The study " Supply Chain Integration Challenges in Commercial Aerospace", for example, was published in 2016.

CONSULTATION

Site selection in the USA

Global customers are demanding global trade. We supported and advised our partner Kendrion, for example, during their USA site selection process. Our partners can rely on the longstanding experience of our employees. Among them is the former Director of Business Development in the State of Alabama (2003-2009). He supported and located Airbus, Thyssen Krupp, Kronospan and many aerospace and automotive suppliers during his tenure in the US.
